Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Solon Greek School, located at 2727 W Winona St, Chicago, IL 60625, was established in 1928. Originally a Parish & Greek Parochial School, it has grown to become one of the leading Greek Orthodox Churches in North America. Over the past 80+ years, it has served over 500 stewards in the Greek Orthodox Community.

The church also houses the George P. Kokalis library, gymnasium, and auditorium, serving as a cultural center for Greek immigrants. It is home to various organizations such as the Ladies Philoptochos Society, “Young at Heart”, Goya, and an athletic league. The Solon Greek School provides classes in Greek language. Saint Demetrios is a vibrant community that continues to serve the needs of its members.
